when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 It’s over, Peter Quill and Gamora were an item. who persisted in Avengers: Infinity War, as the team splits up to try to stop Thanos from obtaining the Infinity Stones. However, to obtain the Soul Stone, Thanos was forced to sacrifice his daughter Gamora, which Peter was obviously very, very upset about. He was so upset, in fact, that he was responsible for killing half the galaxy because he let his anger over Gamora’s death spoil the plan he and the Guardians had with Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange.
However, Gamora died. Peter was sad. And then, because of time travel Avengers: EndgameGamora from a time before she met Peter Quill. She jumped over that part of her life and ended up in the present. Peter sees that it was Gamora who loved him – but she hasn’t actually even met him, let alone the chance to fall in love with him.
This version of Gamora is the one who helped defeat Thanos and then eventually disappeared Avengers: Endgame. And it is Gamora, now known only briefly as Peter and the Guardians, in which she appears Vol. 3.
